README.md
This project is an interactive web-based infographic focused on Defqon.1, one of the largest hardstyle festivals in the world. The platform provides a structured overview of festival history, editions, stages, and official anthems from 2003 through 2024/2025 in a visually engaging and interactive environment.
The infographic was developed as part of a school assignment and partial examination project, with a strong focus on frontend interaction, information structure, and user experience design. The platform combines static informational content with interactive navigation elements, allowing users to explore historical festival information and related content through a custom-designed interface.
The project was fully designed and developed independently using React, TypeScript, and Vite. During development, the application served as a first introduction to modern frontend tooling and component-based application architecture within the Node.js ecosystem. The project also involved self-researched data collection and manual information structuring based on publicly available festival information and existing knowledge about the Defqon.1 brand and event history.
One of the primary technical challenges during development was learning and working with React, TypeScript, Vite, and the surrounding frontend tooling ecosystem for the first time. The project provided practical experience with component-driven development, state management concepts, interactive UI structures, and modern frontend build tooling.
Although the platform is publicly accessible, the project currently functions primarily as an experimental and showcase-oriented frontend application rather than an actively maintained production platform. Future expansion ideas existed during development, though the project now mainly serves as a demonstration of frontend experimentation, interface design, and early framework-based web development experience.
Built with React, TypeScript, Vite, HTML, CSS, and modern frontend development tooling.
