Het Nieuwe² Werken (HNNW) is an open-source crowd-sourcing platform for the public sector that connects demand and supply of work. The platform allows organisations and individuals to publish assignments, collaboration requests, and support questions, while participants can respond and contribute to real-life projects in a transparent and accessible environment.

The project is designed to strengthen collaboration within and between government-related organisations, with a strong focus on transparency, security, scalability, and knowledge sharing. One of the main goals of the platform is to support students — especially MBO students — by making remote internships and practical learning opportunities more accessible through participation in real open-source projects connected to the Dutch government ecosystem and the DAWO initiative.

The current platform replaces the existing static website with a fully dynamic and scalable Symfony-based solution that is designed for long-term growth and future expansion. The platform is being developed with maintainability, accessibility, and performance in mind while supporting modern workplace collaboration and project management workflows.

As Product Owner and Lead Developer, I am responsible for the overall technical direction of the platform, including application architecture, database structure, coding standards, and implementation decisions. I also collaborate closely with stakeholders, manage development progress through Trello, review pull requests, and support a team of junior and medior developers throughout the development process.

Built with Symfony, Twig, PHP, PostgreSQL, and modern web technologies.
