This project consists of a self-hosted monitoring and infrastructure environment running on a dedicated Linux VPS. The platform is designed to monitor the availability, uptime, and operational status of personal projects, APIs, hosted services, and supporting infrastructure in a centralised environment.
The server environment was fully configured and deployed through SSH using a custom Linux-based setup focused on reliability, maintainability, and service automation. The infrastructure includes an Uptime Kuma monitoring instance, MySQL database service, phpMyAdmin administration tooling, nginx reverse proxy configuration, PM2 process management for automatic service recovery, and additional network protection through server-side firewall configuration.
The monitoring platform provides real-time service visibility, uptime tracking, outage reporting, and historical monitoring data across multiple hosted projects and environments. The setup is designed to support scalability and long-term infrastructure management while maintaining secure and stable public access to hosted services.
As part of this project, I am responsible for the complete server setup and infrastructure management process, including Linux server administration, service deployment, reverse proxy configuration, process management, monitoring configuration, security hardening, and maintenance of the hosted environment.
Built with AlmaLinux, nginx, PM2, MySQL, Uptime Kuma, phpMyAdmin, and Linux server infrastructure.
